I have a Liberal Arts degree (2003) Indian River State College and two paralegal degrees, Indian River State College, Paralegal Studies (2003) and University of Central Florida, Legal Studies (2005). I graduated in 2008, worked at the Public Defender’s Office in Manatee County from November 2008 until March 2011, in April 2011 I started my own practice in Manatee County and closed it February 2018. I have extensive experience winning trials, jury trials and non-jury trials. I have won more trials than most attorneys. I have won trials other attorneys couldn’t win. I have experience conducting motion hearings, juvenile trials, misdemeanor trials, and felony trials. I won my first jury trial. I have won numerous jury trials, in misdemeanor court and in felony court solo. I have won at trial for every type of serious charge there is solo. A jury trial begins prior to jury selection, I’ve successfully picked juries by solo and obtained not guilty verdicts. I have also done trials in Manatee and Sarasota Counties with other public defenders and attorneys who had worked for the public defender’s office.

It’s great conducting a deposition and doing such a great job that you know a case will be dismissed or that you‘re going to win at trial if the case proceeds to trial. I‘ve won lots of cases during depositions.
I won my first non-jury trial. I have won numerous non-jury trials, in juvenile court and in misdemeanor court. Nonjury trials require just a much preparation as jury trials, there are times when the outcome of a juvenile case will affect a juvenile as an adult.
